Edwina Orba PT, DPT, CSCS
FisioterapeutaEdwina (Winnie) attended Ithaca College where she received her Bachelor of Science studying Exercise and Sport Science with a medical concentration. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York University. While in PT school, Winnie became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Winnie has completed several additional certifications including becoming a Run Coach through Road Runners of America, Mat Pilates instructor, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) practitioner, and Adult and Infant First Aid.
She has years of experience treating orthopedic conditions in an outpatient setting including post-operative care, sports injuries, overuse injuries, joint pain, muscle strains, and many other diagnoses. Winnie has a special interest supporting runners, guiding clients through post-partum recovery and fitness, and educating patients on physical activity while dealing with chronic pain.
Winnie was a D3 dual-sport college athlete playing soccer and basketball and continues to play and coach soccer, run half marathons, and strength train. She is new to Durham excited to build a community with her family as the wife of a Veteran and mother to two young children.
