Physical TherapistJennifer earned her Masters of Physical Therapy from Duquesne University after completing her Bachelors in Health Sciences with a Minor in Biology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She has a background in outpatient orthopedics and has completed her Certified Lymphedema Therapist Certification through the American Academy of Lymphatic Studies. She has also completed certification in Advanced Lymphedema Management through ACOLS. She is dry-needling certified and specializes in Vestibular Rehab, Breast Cancer Rehab, Maitland Techniques, Kinesio Taping, Myofascial Release, and Orthotic management. She is certified in Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coaching as well. She is licensed in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Jennifer likes working with many different patient populations and the variety that the profession of Physical Therapy provides. During her free time, Jen likes to spend time with her husband, son, and dog. She especially enjoys spending time outdoors- biking, hiking, going to the beach, or being on the water. She has a passion for Pilates and enjoys reformer Pilates classes. She looks forward to helping her patients achieve their goals and treating them with a biopsychosocial model that encompasses treating the whole individual, not just one ailment.

Chelsea Anderton OTR/L

Chelsea Anderton earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to that, Chelsea obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Chelsea is most interested in treating sensory modulation.
In her free time, Chelsea enjoys hiking, visiting museums, and trying new restaurants.

Kenny Biggs PT, DPT, OCS, CMP

Kenny Biggs PT, DPT, OCS, CMP
Kenny graduated from The Medical University of South Carolina in 2008, where he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Prior to MUSC, he graduated from UNC Wilmington in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education. Kenny is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist, which approximately 6% of physical therapists in the United States hold.
Continuing in his education, Kenny has obtained certifications in ASTYM, Blood Flow Restriction Training, and as a Mulligan Practitioner, and has completed numerous manual therapy courses through Evidence In Motion, Maitland, the International Spine & Pain Institute, and utilizes Trigger Point Dry Needling. These techniques are proven to help with a variety of orthopaedic injuries and with the management of acute and chronic pain. Kenny specializes in sports medicine and athletic injuries, sports performance, postoperative therapy needs, spine and hip conditions, and neurological injuries and disorders. His passion is getting to know his patients and helping them exceed their goals, be it sports-related or everyday functioning.
Kenny is a native of Greenville, North Carolina. He is a former collegiate baseball player. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, as well as being at the beach, running, and playing golf. He enjoys watching college sports and is an avid Georgia Bulldogs and Tar Heels fan.

Physical TherapistJordan earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from South College in Knoxville, TN. Prior to earning his DPT, he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science from UNC – Wilmington where he also played baseball.
Jordan enjoys treating patients holistically and looking at all of the factors that contribute to the pain and functional issues they are experiencing. He has experience treating patients across the lifespan, from 4 to 99, as well as a broad spectrum of fitness levels, from beginning fitness to collegiate athletes. Jordan promotes living an active lifestyle to decrease pain, maximize functional abilities and increase overall well-being.
Jordan is originally from Fuquay Varina, NC and currently lives in Raleigh. His hobbies include golf, snowboarding, working out, and going to the beach. He spends his weekends coaching baseball, and traveling when he gets the opportunity.

Physical TherapistDr. Steven Blair earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Prior to that, Steven obtained his Master of Arts in Kinesiology from the University of Northern Iowa and a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Steven is most interested in treating sports injuries, chronic pain, and neurological conditions.
In his free time, Steven enjoys staying active, exercising, and hiking.

Physical Therapist AssistantMatthew Bolen earned Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Fayetteville Technical Community College. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University. Matthew enjoys making connections with his patients, and helping them to achieve their goals. He desires to impact lives, and help individuals in the community. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, and friends. He also enjoys board games, weightlifting, and rock climbing.

PT, DPT, OCSDr. Kevin Bond earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from American University in Washington DC. Since earning his DPT , Kevin has expound on his knowledge and become an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS).
Prior to BreakThrough Physical Therapy, Dr. Bond spent time in several different practices, giving him diverse experience with a variety of patients and conditions. His passion for physical therapy and rehab stems from a lifelong engagement with athletics and a strong desire to help people return to the activities they love to do.
Originally from Maine, Kevin has continued to move south over the years. He moved to the Crystal Coast in 2024 to raise his family and for their love for the beach. In his free time, Dr. Bond enjoys spending time with his two children, wife, and dog. You can find him at the beach, near the water, at the gym, grilling in the backyard, or at a playground with his kids.

Sean Bouthilette earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Methodist University. Prior to that, Sean obtained his Exercise Science/Sports Medicine from Campbellsville University.
Sean is most interested in treating sports injuries but enjoys treating all musculoskeletal injuries. He has enjoyed working with the spine with the use of manual treatment with joint mobilization. He also has soft spot for treating shoulder injuries, after having multiple shoulder surgeries himself, being a pitcher in college.
In his free time, Sean enjoys baseball, hiking, and spending time with his family. He is also a huge Boston sports fan.

Physical TherapistDr. Katie Bradley Machon earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Campbell University in 2020. Prior to that, Katie obtained her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science also from Campbell University in 2017. While in PT school, Katie served as the graduate assistant for the Advanced Interdisciplinary Movement System (AIMS) lab and participated in data collection and manuscript writing for a study that involved functional exercise and blood flow restriction. That article was published in the Translational Journal of the American College of Sports Medicine in 2022.
Katie joined the BreakThrough team in 2022 and completed an Orthopedic Residency program in 2023. She is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and enjoys the opportunity of working with App State athletes and other Boone community members for individualized return to sport and injury prevention with reference to the latest data and research. Additionally, Katie enjoys working with the local high school population and attending Watauga High School Athletic events.
In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and family (especially her dog, Sally), baking from scratch, and volunteering in the children’s ministry at her church. Her favorite form of exercise is yoga and strength training. Katie has enjoyed adjusting to mountain life and attending App State athletic events. You’ll also find her frequently visiting her alma mater in Buies Creek, NC to serve on the Alumni Board of Directors for the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Katie finds joy in serving as a Clinical Instructor for DPT students to help them find their rhythm and fine tune clinical reasoning before graduation and entering the working world. Katie also enjoys serving her patients in a way that empowers them to care for themselves outside of the clinic. Watching patients achieve their goals and return to prior activities is rewarding and drives her passion for coming to work every day.

Jordan is dedicated to enhancing patients’ quality of life through personalized treatment plans, developed in close collaboration with each individual. Believing that education is a crucial part of the process, Jordan ensures that patients are well-informed throughout their recovery. Her goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment for effective recovery.
In her free time, Jordan enjoys exploring the outdoors with her dog and catching up with friends. Originally from Ohio, where she was born and raised, she recently moved to North Carolina and is excited to explore new places it has to offer.

Physical TherapistDr. Rob Bridges earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University. He will soon begin his Orthopedic Residency through Evidence In Motion and plans to become an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.
Prior to earning his doctorate, Rob worked as a technician for Breakthrough Physical Therapy. It was during those years he discovered his passion for physical therapy and assisting patients in achieving their goals and returning to their prior level of function. He enjoyed the time he spent with patients so much that he decided a career as a DPT was a great fit.
In his free time, he likes playing basketball, running, and playing with his beloved dog Koopa. Rob and his wife love spending time together in downtown New Bern, where they reside, and can be found walking the waterfront or enjoying their favorite restaurants and breweries. He is a Massachusetts native and an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics.

Physical TherapistDr. Candice Brueck earned her Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) from the University of Delaware. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from Purdue University. She has completed advanced training to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT).
Candice enjoys treating patients with orthopedic injuries and lymphedema to improve quality of life. She empowers people to use the knowledge and skills learned in physical therapy for lifelong management of their condition.
In her free time, Candice enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dogs, going to the beach and exploring coastal North Carolina.

Physical TherapistDr. Emily Brutski earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Nazareth College of Rochester. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Health Science from Nazareth College.
Emily is a travel physical therapist and likes being able to meet, work with, help, and build relationships with people all over the United States. She wants to help as many people as she can to achieve their goals!
In her free time, Emily enjoys exploring new areas with her fiancé, hiking, gymnastics and tumbling, and reading.

Physical TherapistDr. Olivia Bryant earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Western Carolina University. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Appalachian State University with a concentration in Dietetics.
Prior to becoming a Physical Therapist, Olivia was a competitive dance and gymnastics instructor, coaching kids of all ages and level of experience.
Olivia strives to help patients achieve their goals so they can participate in activities of their choosing to overall improve their quality of life. She is passionate about encouraging and helping patients achieve healthy lifestyles.
In her free time, Olivia enjoys going to the gym, running, and spending time with her friends.
She enjoys traveling with her family to tropical locations and spending time at her family beach house on the coast of North Carolina.

Physical TherapistDr. Tedi Bunch earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Bowling Green State University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Campbell University while also working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Dr. Tedi served in the United States Army for several years where she was trained as a COTA and worked with the active-duty soldiers, retirees and their families. She has 15 years of clinical experience in orthopedics, acute care and school-based therapy.
Dr. Tedi Bunch is passionate about providing holistic care that meets the needs of her patients. Striving to constantly help improve their quality of life and increase their abilities to participate in all the things that bring them joy.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, working out, coaching young athletes and planning her next adventure.
