I have been to many a place. I will go no where else ever. The therapy is effectively challenging the communication is consistent and clear. The camaraderie among the staff is fun and refreshing to see. You are both a patient and a person. Have a question? Simply ask, they offer an answer. Do yourself a favor and come down. The Staff at the Winston-Salem BreakThrough location work very well together as a team. When necessary the support staff step in to take over for each other seamlessly. Your time with the physical therapist is never compromised. I have made progress there and have a new sense of hope for the future. The atmosphere is always friendly, upbeat and encouraging.

A running friend recommended Cheryl Pfruender at BreakThrough PT in Winston-Salem. I had been unable to run due to family circumstances and then injured my knee in Oct. 2021. My goal is to run an 8k race by the end of 2022. Cheryl assessed my overall condition and specifically my left knee. She explained her assessment, next steps, hope for meeting my goal, and continually provides needed encouragement. I’ve been seeing her twice weekly for 5 weeks. There has been significant overall improvement and improvement in my left knee. She is now recommending I see an orthopedist to rule out anything that might be keeping me from making additional progress and to pinpoint possible causes of continued swelling and new challenges since her assessment. Cheryl has been extremely positive, instills trust by her knowledge, pushes when I need it but has compassion that helps motivate me to keep working toward my goal. I really appreciate her professionalism and her personal side. And the fact she is recommending I add an orthopedist speaks volumes about her and breakthrough to ensure I succeed! Breakthrough is some top notch physical therapy. Scheduling is a breeze and the facility is conveniently located in Wake Forest. My intake evaluation was through and I was able to get some relief the first visit. Austin is very personable and knowledgeable and will help you ease your pain while strengthening your problem area. Shout out to Christian for his sense of humor and stellar dry needling skills. Definitely give this place a shot if you are tired of dealing with nagging pain!
